Barbering Journey

Tools, hygiene, consultations, sectioning and the foundations of working in a professional shop.

Weeks 1 and 2 - Professional Foundations
Six full training days: 31 January, 1–2 February and 4–6 February 2027. Wednesday 3 February is off. Attendance on all six days is mandatory.

Week 3: Six-Day Intensive with Riccardo
Week 4: Fading and clipper work
Develop controlled clipper work and learn how fading connects to the shape of the haircut.

Weeks 5–11: Supervised live clients
Progress to live-model work when your instructors judge you ready. Learn to plan and deliver the service, refine your decisions and build a portfolio with individual guidance.

Develop core clipper techniques and learn to combine scissor and clipper work, preparing for supervised live-model training.
Week 12: Final Assessment

Eachan and Riccardo assess the skills you demonstrate. Attendance alone does not mean an automatic pass.

The Confidence Guarantee
Eligible students who complete all sessions and required work can receive further training free of charge if they still need support at the end of the programme. Missing an ordinary evening affects eligibility; every intensive day is mandatory. We explain the assessment and full terms before enrolment. Employment is not guaranteed.

Brazen Hair Academy grew out of Brazen Men’s Hair, our two Edinburgh shops. Evening classes take place at our Brunswick Street shop, with the six-day intensive at a nearby venue a short walk away.
