Riccardo Basco
Riccardo’s full-time specialisation is precision haircutting education at the highest level. He personally leads all six intensive days, teaching how shape, length and weight work together and helping you apply that understanding through structured practice.
Eachan Maciver
Eachan leads the evening classes, from tools, hygiene and consultation to clipper work, fading and supervised model practice. He also teaches how to present your work, attract clients and encourage repeat visits.

Eachan Maciver brings more than a decade of barbering experience and continued education in the UK and Europe. Through Brazen’s two Edinburgh shops, he has built a team around a shared standard of technical work and client care.

Across Leith and Polwarth, Brazen serves thousands of clients in Edinburgh. The reputation of the shops has been built appointment by appointment: considered consultations, precise work and a service people choose to return to.
In October 2026, Brazen’s two Edinburgh shops each held a 5.0 Google rating, with more than 900 reviews between them.
Brazen Men’s Hair was named Scottish Barbers of the Year 2025 at the Scottish Barber Awards, organised by Oceanic Awards.

Riccardo Basco: a life in precision education.
After building his experience in barbering, Riccardo retrained in precision hairdressing under Jean-Baptiste (JB) Mazella. His teaching focuses on the structure of a haircut: how shape, length and balance relate to the head and the hair. At Brazen, he brings that depth of understanding directly into your intensive training.

Maximum students per regular evening group. Both groups attend the intensive together.
The Confidence Guarantee
Eligible students who attend every session and complete the required work can receive further training free of charge if they still need support at the end of the programme. Missing an ordinary evening affects eligibility; all six intensive days remain mandatory. We explain the assessment and full terms before you enrol.
Business education grounded in practice
The client-building teaching comes from Eachan’s experience of growing Brazen, developing a social audience and monetising his own TikTok and YouTube channels. Our marketing book, Clients, Content and Consistency, turns that experience into practical tasks you can apply to your own work.
By October 2026, Eachan had built an audience of around 28,000 on TikTok and 2,500 on YouTube. Riccardo had around 15,300 Instagram followers.
