Plan the real cost of barber training

Practical guide · Updated 30 October 2026

Start with the total commitment

The course price matters, but it is only one part of deciding whether training is affordable for your circumstances. Put the fee beside the dates you need to attend and the other costs you will personally face.

Brazen’s full twelve-week course is £4,970, including your professional barbering kit.

You can pay in full or discuss a payment plan. We explain the options and applicable terms before you enrol. Start with the qualifying application; if the course fits, you can book a free call with Eachan to talk through your goals and questions.

Fill in the costs that are specific to you

Use your own figures rather than a provider’s assumed travel or household budget.

Item Your amount / planning note
Course fee and payment options £4,970 including kit; discuss the applicable options with us
Eleven evening return journeys Include the 10pm class finish
Six intensive-day journeys Check each actual date
Accommodation if needed Check your own location and cancellation terms
Meals and other attendance costs Separate these from the course fee
Time away from paid work Use your actual work arrangement
Caring or household arrangements Record only costs that apply to you
Practice and later replacement items Check what is supplied before buying
Time after the course Plan without assuming immediate earnings

Budget separately for travel, accommodation, ongoing consumables and any plans to set up a business. Check the supplied kit list before buying additional tools.

Talk through what works for you

Consider the training fee alongside travel, time away from work and your other commitments. If you’re unsure whether the course is manageable, explain that in your application rather than assuming it will work.

If another person is helping pay, make sure they have the same course information and understand the applicable terms. Ask about anything that is unclear before you enrol.

Keep your next career step separate

The course provides private training and Brazen’s own certificate following assessment. It does not promise a job, earnings or an immediate full client list. Your budget should not depend on an unconfirmed position or a particular weekly income.

If you need a specific qualification, support scheme or funding approval, establish that before committing.
